1. Who We Are

DantePay ("we", "us", "our") operates the cryptocurrency payment platform at dante-pay.com. We enable merchants to accept crypto payments (USDC, Bitcoin, Ethereum, and other digital assets) through their online stores.

2. Information We Collect

For Merchants:

  • Account information (name, email) via Clerk authentication
  • Cryptocurrency wallet addresses for payment settlement
  • Shopify store domain and API access token (for Shopify-integrated merchants)
  • Webhook URLs and API keys for payment notifications

For Customers (shoppers):

  • Email address (for order confirmation and tracking)
  • Full name and shipping address (for order fulfillment)
  • Cryptocurrency wallet address used for payment (from blockchain transaction)
  • Payment amount, transaction hash, and payment status

3. How We Use Your Information

  • Process and confirm cryptocurrency payments
  • Create and fulfill orders on the merchant's Shopify store
  • Send payment confirmations and order status updates
  • Provide merchant dashboards with payment analytics
  • Detect and prevent fraudulent transactions
  • Maintain and improve our platform

4. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only in these cases:

  • With merchants: Customer name, email, shipping address, and payment status are shared with the merchant you purchased from, so they can fulfill your order.
  • With Shopify:Order details are sent to the merchant's Shopify store to create and manage orders.
  • Blockchain data: Cryptocurrency transactions are inherently public on their respective blockchains.
  • Service providers: We use Clerk (authentication), Supabase (database), Vercel (hosting), and Helius/BlockCypher (blockchain monitoring).
  • Legal requirements: When required by law or to protect our rights.

5. Data Retention

Payment records are retained for accounting and compliance purposes. Merchant accounts and associated data are retained while the account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us.

6. Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (TLS), secure authentication via Clerk, hashed API keys with per-key salts, and HMAC-verified webhooks. Shopify OAuth tokens are stored encrypted in our database. We never store private keys or seed phrases.

7. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data (subject to legal retention requirements)
  • Withdraw consent for data processing

9. Shopify App Users

When merchants install the DantePay Shopify app, we access their store data solely to create and manage orders for cryptocurrency payments. We request only the minimum permissions needed: draft order creation and order management. We do not access customer lists, product catalogs, or any data beyond what is necessary for payment processing.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify merchants of material changes via email. Continued use of our platform constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
